Carving Pumpkins

We carved pumpkins this year with our friends the Scaddens. Clint choose the design for ours, it says "Trick or Treat." We didn't think about it until after we started, but we're not going to be home for Halloween trick-or-treaters. Hopefully they're not too disappointed. We'll be at Mystique helping with the Haunted Castle.

Clint's Ankle

Clint burned his ankle. Clint called me while I was at work to tell me he had been burned, but he said he was fine. Imagine my surprise when I picked him up from work 4 hours later, barefoot with a 2nd degree burn. Though Clint fought tooth and nail, I took him to a doctor. They were able to fix up the wound, though it will probably be a couple week before he heels. I'm just glad his foot will be okay.

Clint is insisting that I post a pic of the burn. I apologize for this picture. I tried to make it as small as possible. Don't look closely if you have a week stomach.

Go Go Go Joseph PT 2

I take the pictures of Mystique's shows and make the slide show for the hallway. It's always a challenge taking pictures from the back of the theatre in dim light while your subject is moving, but I really enjoy it. I've included some of my favorites below. These are from Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. It's been running since late-September and will run through mid-November.

Let It Snow!

Didn't summer just get here?! We were quite surprised when we looked out the window yesterday morning to find a lovely blanket of snow. Apparently here in Pocatello we have very short summers, and no fall or springs. We had snow up through June, so the summer was really too short.

However, there are some plus sides to the snow. Mostly CHRISTMAS IS COMING!!!! Growing up my family had the tradition that we don't listen to Christmas music until November, and then only on Sundays, until after Thanksgiving. I've added one exception to the rule. On the first day of snow for the season I listen to Christmas music. Since Clint and I will be going to North Carolina for Christmas, I think we will decorate a little early this year, so we can enjoy a Christmas season here.

Funeral

It has been a bittersweet week for Clint and me. Clint's grandfather past away a little over a week ago. We had the opportunity to fly out to North Carolina for the Funeral. During the few years we have been married we have been able to visit his grandparents over Christmas break. I have to say that I am truly blessed with the In-Laws I have been given. Clint's family have all been so kind. I couldn't ask for a better second family. His grandparents both welcomed me into the family with open arms. Clint and I will miss them both.
