Our New Foster Son

Wednesday Morning we got a call from the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare, asking us if we'd like to take in another little boy. We're registered for two foster children, but up till now we've just had one. We took about ten minutes to decided, and called back with a yes. By noon we had our newest little FC2!!

Our newest FC2 is 2yrs old, and brings a whole new set of joys and challenges. He has already been such a blessing to have. The boys love to play together and for the most part get a long really well. Since FC2 is younger, it's been amazing to me how quickly we've bonded to him. He's so curious about the world, and asks over and over "wha dis?" He's also a little daredevil!! We have to watch him very closely, as he's constantly leaping off of things! He's adventurous and sweet!

FC1 love's having someone to play with!! He hasn't had a problem sharing any of his things, but has been extra eager to get more attention from us.

We love them both and will cherish their time with us. What a blessing Foster Care has been!!!

Officially Registered w/ LDS Family Services

We just got the news, we're officially registered with LDS Family Services to adopt!!!!! We're so exited!!!!!! Now we just have to wait to be chosen.

On a not as happy not, we found out that our FC's court date next week is the first of three and that it probably won't be wrapped up until August or September. But on the plus side we get more time with him :)

FC's Party

Again, difficult to post pics of a party, where you can show pics of the guest of honor : ) We through a party for our FC. It was Car/Truck/Train themed. We do a website for a company called Family Fun Party, and we traded out work on their website for a jump house for the party. The kids had a blast!!!!Our friend Morgan made the cake. It turned out ADORABLE!!! The trucks in the construction zone were the candles!
Playing in the jump house.
Josh made animal balloons for the kids.
The Monster Truck jump house.

The night before the party our friends the Scaddens came over to help us get ready. We were blowing up balloons, and Clint and Josh decided to have me hold a fluorescent light bulb in my hands, while they rubbed my head with balloons. NOT KIDDING THE LIGHT BULB LIT UP!!!! It was the craziest thing ever!!! Like my hair-do?

Spread the Word

Found this video and wanted to share. Our adoption case worker told us that in the LDS Church there is statistically one unwed mother per ward per year. They don't all choose adoption.

Toilet Seat Fun

We have been experiencing the joys of potty training with our Foster Child. Yesterday after going #1 and #2 I was helping our FC pull up their pants, and when I looked up the toilet training seat was on the FC's head!! ..and the FC said "look Mommy, Hat!" Though completely disgusted, I couldn't help laughing.
