Hilton Head Part 2

On Christmas Clint and I rode bikes around Hilton Head Island. They had an adorable bike path that went around most of the island and along the beach.

The trees are very exotic.

Me on the bike.

Clint's friend seagull.

The ships at the dock. There was one street that was decked out with Christmas lights. They advertised for it all over the island. When we drove down the street, it was pretty cool, but there were probably only 15 or so houses...lol. Not quite what we expected, but still a nice reminder of Christmas.

Savannah, GA

We spent a day in Savannah, GA. It is a beautiful city! We took one of those trolley tours. It took us around the major historical sites. This pic is us in front of a fountain in one of the parks that the city bought from a mail order catalog for $2200, lol.

The trees were gorgeous!
This tree is the oldest tree in Savannah. Apparently it is haunted, because they used to hang people from it's branches.
Clint made friends with this squirrel.
Clint's parents.
The houses were all so beautiful.

Clint collects nutcrackers, we thought this one was a little too big to take back with us on the plane.

The bridge over the river the Savannah River.

We asked one of the locals at the trolley tours, where was the best place to get barbecue. They sent us to this tiny little hole in the wall restaurant, down this scary looking alley way. The food was pretty good, but I don't think I would go to this restaurant alone :)

Christmas

We celebrated Christmas on Hilton Head Island with Clint's Family. I have to say I did not miss the snow or the cold. (We got these cute beany caps from Clint's mom.)

Our flight out was an adventure. We feel pretty lucky that we didn't get stuck in Chicago, like a lot of people, but we did have a 4 hour layover. By the time we arrived in Savannah, GA our rental car place was going to be closed. During our flight to Savannah I was pretty worried we'd have to spend the night in the airport. Fortunately they arranged for us to pick up the car at a neighboring rental car company booth. When we went to get our luggage, our entire flights luggage went to a different city. But again, we were blessed and our luggage was delivered to us the next evening.

My Portfolio Site

http://www.rubyhue.com/HeidiRoss/index.html

Well, it's still a work in progress, but my Portfolio site is up and functional. I still want to incorporate some Flash when I get some more time, but at least it works for now. I'm up for any critiques, if any of you have suggestions I'd love to hear them.

Thanksgiving

We went to my Grandparents house for Thanksgiving.

Kevin & his new wife Anna. She plays the piano beautifully.

After Thanksgiving I spent a couple days with my parents, while Clint had to go back to Pocatello for work. I finally started the mural for one of the bathrooms at my parents. This is the sea castle. Next time I go I'll have to paint seaweed and fish.

Dad & Mom decorating the Christmas tree. After we had hot chocolate, yum!

My darling sister Rachel.

In the words of Judy "OOOH, LA LA!"

A shout out to my cousin Niki for taking these pics below. I didn't take pics of us eating, so I copied these from her blog:

We have to sit at two different tables. Our table used to be the kid table. I still think it's strange that we're all grown up.
